When the Zuger family bought this Third Growth in 1955 there were only seven hectares left in production; it now runs to about 30 hectares of gravel, chalk and clay laced with iron, planted to 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.
