Produttori del Barbaresco, Barbaresco Riserva Pora, 2016 OLDCAP Guillaume Gallois trained under FabriceIf you're going to start anywhere in the Produttori del Barbaresco cru lineup, start with Pora. Its vines run down toward the Tanaro river, and the wine comes out rounder and more open armed than its neighbors generous fruit up front, with the tannic spine still very much intact underneath. From the excellent 2016 vintage, this is Nebbiolo doing the full trick: wild cherry and blood orange, dried rose, leather, spice and sweet earth. Ten years in, it
