De La Pousse D'Or Volnay, En Caillerets Premier Cru 2018 puglia-igt cinnamon and hints of mochaAn overtly spicy nose features notes of black cherry, violet and a whisper of oak. There is fine volume and a strong mineral streak running the length of the nicely textured middle weight flavours and continues onto the somewhat lean finish where the supporting tannins are surprisingly raspy if not actually gritty. Again, time may come to the rescue but this is not a wine with its usual finesse.
