Iberian 18th Century Emerald Pendant Iridium with a gold claspA beautiful Iberian 18th century emerald pendant, that hangs from a later 9ct chain. The emeralds are set in a closed back setting. This kind of pendant would have been worn either as a devotional ornament or as a status symbol by someone of high social standing. Circa 1780. Measurements: The pendant measures 3. 6cm in diameter. The chain can be worn either at 51. 5cm or 47. 5cm as there are two rings on the chain.
